Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 is seen by the Bluetooth SIG

Galaxy Note 12.2

A Samsung device has undergone registration Bluetooth SIG. It is a tablet that could be the Galaxy Note 12.2, that device with a 12,2-inch screen that has already been heard a lot of rumors. Those referring to its presentation date suggested the month of October and this leak only supports this idea.

The equipment that has passed the Bluetooth SIG test is described as a tablet and carries the code name of SM-P901. This codename was already hunted in the UAProf files of the company page.

In mid-July it became evident that Koreans were working on two lines of tablets: the SM-P900 and the SM-P600. The first of these series had three models: a homonymous one with a WiFi + 3G connection and the SM-P901 and SM-P905, with a WiFi connection only. The second, again with a homonymous model, and connection through mobile networks, and the SM-601 and SM-605, with WiFi antenna only.

The two series were attributed technical specifications that passed through a screen 2560 x 1600 pixel QWXGA and a chip with a frequency of 1,4 Ghz. Also, they ran the operating system Android 4.2.

The Twitter profile @evleaks leaked that the SM-P900 series would have a 12,2-inch screen, while the SM-P600 series would have a 10,1-inch screen.

In the end, the SM-P600 model turned out to be the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition that was presented at the recent IFA in Berlin.

Putting all the pieces of the puzzle together we could say that we are facing a Samsung tablet with a 12,2 inch. We would bet on a processor 5 Exynos Octa, since it is the WiFi only model. If we had the WiFi + LTE version, we would bet on the alternative of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 de, as in the new 10,1-inch.

Although we had previously referred to this model as the Galaxy Tab 3 Plus, it makes more sense for this model to enter the Galaxy Note line, more given to unusual sizes and high definition screens. In addition, the Galaxy Tab line has made a turn towards the low cost and Intel is taking care of its processors.
