The applications of Scribd have come to iOS and Android. It is a reading rental service but with a flat rate. Some analysts are calling it the Netflix of books. This comparison is very useful, since it actually gives us access to read all the books we want if we pay a monthly feel very comfortable.
Scribd has been around for quite some time on the internet, but it is only now that they are taking this step towards a wider audience. It was born as a platform to publish studies and articles by American university students in a simpler and more accessible way, without having to resort to expensive and perishable paper.

However, it is richest in scholarly publications from prestigious American universities, so if you are a researcher, this can be a great tool. The most titles are in English although there are also some classics in Spanish as well as academic works.
There are some books that are not included in the subscription and you have to buy them individually, although these are quite rare.
It has a pdf and epub reader and allows us to download some titles at the same time as the offline reading of others.
It can try one month free subscription to see if the service convinces us and then start paying the fee religiously.
Publication
As a normal user we can upload own writings with total freedom as long as we don't want to receive money in return and we don't mind that they can be freely downloaded. if we wanted receive money for it, we would have to enter the program for authors and publishers.
