One of the safest bets we can make in regards to the tablets that the MWC 2018 is the MediaPad M5, which we recently discovered could come in no less than three different models and now we have more details, and what is even more interesting, images, of the best of them all: the MediaPad M5 10 Pro.
The MediaPad M5 10 Pro is seen for the first time, and it comes with a keyboard
Although the protagonist of the leaks has long been the MediaPad M5 8, it seems that the one who is called to be the real star in the MWC it's really going to be the MediaPad M5 10 Pro, of whose existence we learned very recently, but of which we have just had an avalanche of details, all of them enormously promising.
To begin with, we just had the opportunity to take a good look at it in images, which come to us through Gizmochina thanks to a filtration of Roland Quandt with renders that show it in detail and, attention, with accessories. It seems that we can finally solve the mystery of the teaser of Huawei at the MWC that invited to think that a new MateBook could arrive in Barcelona instead of a new MediaPad: it seems that following the steps of the Galaxy Tab S3, your new Android tablets they will arrive with keyboard.
The truth is that if we stop to think about it, it seems a reasonable decision to continue betting on the high-end Android, because it is increasingly clear that from certain prices, users ask for devices that can also be useful for work and accessories they are a fundamental part of it. In fact, the previous leak had already told us that the MediaPad M5 10 Pro would also have support for a stylus own.
Highest level technical specifications
This leak has confirmed another detail about which it was possible to still have some doubts and that is the resolution of the screen: we already knew that the 8-inch model would arrive, like its predecessor, with 2560 x 1600 pixels and it was logical to assume that the 10-inch ones shared these characteristics, but taking into account that Huawei has been so reluctant to date to launch 10-inch Quad HD tablets it was still possible to have certain reservations to draw this conclusion. It seems, however, that we can definitely rule them out.
The leak also leaves us with some data regarding what we can expect in RAM and storage capacity: it seems that we will have two variants, one with 32 GB internal memory and another with 64 GB, but that the two will arrive with 4 GB of RAM. We are surprised that there is going to be a more modest model in this sense, but it is true that for many users 32 GB may be enough and a lower price is always a good claim.
We suppose that we can also trust that other characteristics revealed of the 8-inch model can be applied to this other one as well, finally, such as the processor Kirin 960 or arriving with Android Oreo. Taking into account that we have it even in their mid-range tablets, we also take for granted the metal case, the fingerprint reader and the Harman Kardon speakers.
Attentive to its presentation at the MWC
As we have said, the possibility that it was a Windows tablet that arrived in Barcelona had generated some confusion regarding when the MediaPad M5, of which there was no doubt that they were very close also taking into account all the information that was arriving about them. Now there is no doubt that they are called to be the star tablets of the MWC.
That means that in just a few days we will be able to know them officially and give you all the details about them, so if you are considering the possibility of getting a high-end Android tablet Surely you should wait until next week before making a decision about which one to stay with, because the MediaPad M5 has many ballots to become one of the best options.
And one of its main assets could be the price, if the data that this leak leaves us are confirmed, because it predicts a price of 520 euros in LTE version, which for a tablet of its level seems a fairly reasonable figure. It is not very clear if there could be a cheaper WiFi version, or if it will include any of the accessories, which would make it even more attractive.
