Surface RT and Pro update again solving problems with WiFi

Surface 2

Microsoft updates operating systems that make move its two tablets every second Tuesday of every month. They are called Patch Tuesday. The patches that are distributed are intended to reinforce security against constantly renewed Internet threats and to deal with the possible problems that tablets may have. If we stick to the updates made to date, we must say that Surface RT and Surface Pro problem is WiFi connection, since four of the five updates have made changes in that regard.

For Surface RT This month's patch has addressed the following problems:

  • Limited connectivity
  • WiFi ability to handle multiple access points at the same time
  • System crashes related to WiFi problems

Updated Surface RT

As you can see, this update is fully focused on this issue and some users have been complaining about it. You can take a look at the update history that Microsoft offers us on its page to see that this topic is really recurring.

April update Surface Pro I was trying to solve:

  • Touch navigation issues in UEFI boot menu
  • Connectivity issues between the tablet and the Type Cover and Touch Cover keyboards
  • When it was switched to mode, the WiFi driver was sometimes lost

There are more issues that they solved but some have only been applied to North American devices.

The transparency with which the company deals with these matters and, at the same time, worrying that something as basic in a tablet as WiFi is giving so much trouble. We would be fair to know if Surface RT owners in Spain are encountering problems of the type described in this update or in the update history. If you are one of them, we would greatly appreciate it if you would tell us in the comments.

I bought the pro in the USA and, in addition to not detecting these problems, I will tell you that it is a torpedo.

I am also a Surface RT user, and have not had any problems to date. I come from an iPad and the truth is that I am happy with the change.

I bought the Surface 3 two days ago and I am already having problems with the Wi-Fi. Today, being the second day using this device, I have been unable to connect to the Wi-Fi network of my house and the problem is in the tablet since with mobile phones and laptops we do not find any connectivity problem in this same wireless network
