Until the arrival of tablets with Windows, the hybrid formula was quite a minority and was practically limited to the Asus Transformer range. However, since devices with the operating system of Microsoft have made their appearance in the market, the popularity of the designs halfway between tablet and laptop seems to be gaining prominence. Although we have already presented you with a comparative reviewing the Technical specifications of both teams, as always, there are aspects that are better appreciated through a direct wearing experience. The video that we show you today makes a very complete review of all of them. Although the comparison is built simulating a boxing match that is decided on the points (done with a lot of humor, yes), and perhaps the viewer does not share the final evaluations, which are always somewhat more subjective.
The video shows us, first of all, the physical appearance of both teams, paying attention first to the design of the front and back, but, above all, the video makes an interesting analysis of the capabilities of each of them as hybrids, comparing the connection options and ports of both, as well as the keyboards and noting all the details of these: how they connect, resistance, touch and comfort, etc. Throughout the entire piece, of course, we also have the opportunity to compare the picture quality of both tablets, section in which the Asus, due to technical specifications, it scores higher.
In the comparison, a lot of attention is also paid to the difference between the two operating systems, checking the intuitive, clear and fluid of RT Windows y Jelly Bean, the customization options for each one of them and their strengths and weaknesses. Android 4.1 is, for now, quite popular and, probably, we will not discover anything new about it. However, the images of the operation of RT Windows can be very interesting for those who value getting a Surface when it goes on sale in Spain (or in any other country where the readers are).
On this occasion, the comparison does not place special emphasis on the performance section and does not show, as usual, benchmarks or other types of tests. On the contrary, it is limited to make a practical review of video and game playback, and to evaluate the battery life, also much higher in the tablet of Asus, especially when we connect the keyboard. Finally the results are given: the transformer infinity wins this fictional battle by 4.0 points (out of 5) compared to 3.7 for Surface, a brand that is not bad if we take into account the potential of his opponent.
