Tapatalk has released a new version optimized for tablets. This application is known among Android users as that great application with which you can manage your participation in more than 40.000 internet forums. The new one Tapatalk HD Beta is now available for completely free download on Google Play. We tell you a little about its design and functionalities.
Actually, it does almost exactly the same thing as the smartphone version, with some additions, but with a much more comfortable presentation in which the posts, buttons and menus look better. The interface adapts to screens of a size of 7 inches or higher and choose as style the combination of sidebar with mosaic and sidebar plus notification panel. It looks good both in landscape and vertical position. Its resemblance to the iPad application is total, although this is being charged to 4,49 €s being a final version.
Regarding the new functions, it is worth highlighting the Photo gallery which gives us access to the topics related to those photos and the discussions surrounding them. The push notification that lets us know when there is a new comment or posts in some of the forums or conversations in which we have participated, direct messages from contacts or simply if someone likes some of our comments, posts or photos. It also notifies us if we have been mentioned.
Now we also find forum moderation tools integrated so that we can modify content, manage permissions and, if necessary, ban to some user who does not follow the rules.
The application is currently free to be found in beta (version 0.9.0) but when I go to the final version 1.0 will be paid. Although its developer has reported that those who download the app now, giving them valuable feedback will have a special price when it finally goes on sale. Quoord Systems estimates that it will be ready to take that step in early 2013, in January specifically.
