Everybody knew that the new installment of Temple Run it was going to become a download success, as the first one had already been, but very few would have bet that it was going to break some of the records set by them themselves. Although in all the media today there was surprise at the news that some game had finally managed to dethrone Angry Birds and his record of 50 million downloads in 35 days, the truth is that we can not say that we did not have any clue of the tremendous success that Temple Run 2 he was harvesting. Already the first day he had achieved 6 million downloads and a few days later, when we announced his arrival at Google Play, just a week ago, the famous runner had already managed to reach 20 million (and all of them had been achieved only in iOS). It seems that his arrival at Android y Amazon has given the last push, and finally Temple Run 2 has managed to reach the magic number of 50 million downloads in just 2 weeks. The figures of the first Temple Run, in any case, they are not negligible either, since it has already reached the 170 million.
What has been the secret of your success? Well, although it is always difficult to define exactly what makes a game a success, what everyone seems to be quite clear is that if something Temple Run has done well is to maintain the same game dynamics, simple as well as addictive, but enriching the experience with greatly improved graphics and new settings, obstacles, achievements and powers. What is clear is that users are really satisfied: despite the huge number of downloads behind them, their rating in Google Play, a 4,5, is still within the reach of few.
