Android Kitkat share already rises to 13,6%

new android users

Google's latest monthly count shows a marked growth of Android KitKat within the ecosystem. New generation devices are beginning to circulate normally and many of the flagships of the past 2013 have had time to update finally. There is also a shift towards the latest versions of Jelly Bean, 4.2 and 4.3, to the detriment of the first, Android 4.1.

Google's mobile operating system continues its slow (compared to iOS) but inexorable evolution. Throughout the next few months, if everything continues like this, Android KitKat will consolidate as the second force and will begin to subtract users from Jelly Bean at forced marches (as far as possible, of course). We still see, however, a wide range of teams moving with ICS or lower, evidencing, as in each count, the different experiences in which the platform is presented.

Kitkat, 8,5% to 13,6%

The growth of the Kitkat share is beginning to be truly remarkable, and that is that throughout May, the 4.4x versions have risen 5 percentage points. In turn, Android 4.1 has lost 4,5 points, while Android 4.2 and 4.3 gained 0,3 and 1,8 points respectively.

Android installments in May

Ice Cream Sandwich and Gingerbread they lose some quota, although not too much for all they have. The most likely thing, on the other hand, is that those with the latest versions are also the most interested in this type of technology and those who will first silver the replacement of their terminal, that is why we see more movement in those other areas. Honeycomb, for its part, has disappeared from the equation, being below 0,1%.

News Week

As you know, this week the news of the operating systems for mobiles and tablets has been very much alive. iOS 8 started its journey by releasing the first beta for developers, while Google made official the arrival of Android 4.4.3, who is already unfolding through Nexus, the latest models of Motorola and the editions Google Play.

It has also been known that iOS 7 has reached 90% of iDevices, a piece of information that Apple has used to charge against Android, its fragmentation and hypothetical insecurity derived.
