The best Android games of 2014, according to Google Play

Clumsy Ninja Android game

As every year around this time, it is time to look back to review and reflect on what the last 12 months have given of themselves. In this case, Google is ahead of everyone with a specific section for each category (movies, music, books, etc.) where it collects the best of 2014. Today we echo those games that the heads of Android consider among the most prominent. Surely some of us are missing to try.

As good gamers, we can say that this year has really been fruitful for Android. We could even say that there are a few titles that do not appear in the selection that, without a doubt, deserve to be named among the best of the year, although we assume that Google chooses those that they have better performed before the public.

Some challenges for 2015

On the other hand, we must also put a couple of "buts" to the matter. Google Play continues to receive games later than the App Store On many occasions, Android users do not like it, nor is it entirely fair. Also, we wish there were more games with support for Play Games. The social component in our games is always fun. Anyway, there are only two "wishes" for next year, I am sure that many of you will have other priorities on this same issue.

The best titles of the year on Android

Although we will launch our own list later, the Play Store has chosen its essentials. Among them there are some classics that appear after several courses, such as the Clash of Clans, Machinarium or Asphalt 8, but there are also a few that show the good level in the news of recent months: Angry Birds Epic, Crazy Taxi, Don't Tap the White Tile, FIFA 15 coins, or our favorite, Leo's Fortune.

Two notable absences

As we said, some other essentials are missing and we can easily mention two of them. One is a very recent game and the other does not have subtitles in Spanish (yes in English), however, they are two titles that are worth keeping an eye on. The first one is Two dots, the sequel to a minimalist and addictive puzzle like few others. The second is Wolf among us, from the developer also responsible for The Walking Dead, a graphic adventure with comic book aesthetics whose plot changes depending on our decisions.
