The consulting firm Gartner has presented a report where the sales figures for phones, tablets and PCs for 2014. The document exposes some interesting points, such as, for example, that sales of computers will stabilize their fall, while those of tablets will slow down somewhat. According to Gartner, the market for the three aforementioned segments will expand by up to 4,2% compared to 2013. The star of “computing” devices, however, will be the smartphone, while the tablet and the PC will continue with the particular battle that they have been fighting since 2010, and of which Microsoft wants to get a slice with Surface 3, while inviting us not to have to choose between one and the other.

According to this same report, the activation of new Android terminals and tablets will be around 1.100 million units. The sum of Windows systems (including Windows Phone) will reach 333 million Of units; while iOS and Mac OS will be (between the two) installed on 271 million of new equipment.
