El designAs you can see, it is totally continuous with respect to the first generation, although with the amount of images leaked in recent days, and especially this morning, we were already on notice. However, it can be seen that the side frames have been reduced somewhat more (up to 2,7 mm). The tablet will also be lighter (about 290 grams compared to 340 grams of the first generation) and, above all, much finer, with only 8,65 mm thick (compared to 10,45 mm in the first model).

Technical Specifications

The first thing they have confirmed in the presentation is the increase in image quality: the new Nexus 7 will have a resolution of 1920 x 1200 and, therefore, it will be Full HD and will have a pixel density of PPI 323 (that of the first generation was 216 PPI), the highest at the moment in a 7-inch tablet. It will also have a 30% wider color range. As with the first generation, it is clear that it is a device specially designed to allow us to fully enjoy games and as a multimedia player. Its potential for this type of use will also be reinforced in this new model with an improved audio system and stereo speakers.

Regarding the rest of Technical specificationsWe have not encountered any big surprises either, and what we have seen is basically the same as what the leaks have been telling us so far: processor Snapdragon S4 Pro a 1,5 GHz (the first generation processor was clocked at 1,2 GHz and Google promises that it has 80% higher power), GPU Adreno 320 (which would double the graphics processing capacity compared to the first Nexus 7), 2 GB of RAM memory (double that in the previous one), battery of 3950 mAh (which, theoretically, will give us an autonomy of 9 hours video playback) and two cameras instead of one: the front one is now 1,2 MP and the back of 5 MP. Of course, as far as the operating system is concerned, as we expected, it will arrive with the brand new Android 4.3.

Regarding connectivity, in addition to Wi-Fi connection, there will also be a model with a 4G connection (currently exclusive for the United States), and of course, it will have Bluethooth 4.0 and NFC. The most surprising feature, although even of this we had already heard through the leaks, has been the wireless charging, something that undoubtedly many users will also consider an interesting improvement.

I wonder why if in the US its advertised price is 229 and 269 dollars, in Spain the pain is converted into euros. Do not the two coins have different values? If the Euro is 1,2 the value of the dollar, wouldn't the price have to be another?
