The function Do not disturb that we find on the iPad has stopped working for a ruling derived from the change of year. These types of programming errors are common and have to do with the digits and their change. The problem extends to all devices using iOS 6 and will be especially annoying for iPhone users, since they are the subject of a greater number of notifications than a tablet.
They noticed it on the Internet this morning and it seemed really curious to us. As you can imagine, the Do Not Disturb function is used to personalize what type of notifications should have an audible or vibration alarm in certain circumstances at times of the day. How could it be otherwise, in the case of Apple's smartphone it also affects calls. We can customize this function indicating which services or which contacts we will not get push notifications. The solution is quite simple and it only requires a manual operation that we explain below. We just have to go to Settings and we will see that the sixth box comes the button Do not disturb and we give it to deactivate and then to activate.
The funny thing is that this is not the first time that something similar has happened to Apple. A couple of years ago, with the arrival of 2011, the iPhone ran out of alarm. Those unfortunate few who had to get up early on January 1 and who used their smartphone as an alarm clock never heard it. Then all that was fixed but it was a dirty trick.
It was just a scare with an easy fix. Actually this service is great and it was presented in that way as one of the most attractive elements for users in iOS 6.
