Vega nº 6, the rival of Ascend Mate, is now official

Vega No. 6

Among all the phablets presented in recent times, the Huawei Ascend Mate it had managed to stand out from the rest, not so much for its technical specifications, but for representing the most extreme case of a smartphone / tablet hybrid with a screen of 6.1 inches. It seems, however, that it may have found a difficult rival in the new phablet of Pantech: The Vega No. 6, has already been made official and, in addition to a 5.9-inch Full HD display, will have characteristics at the height of the greats in the sector.

Last week we gave you some information about the Vega No. 6, the new phablet of Pantech. Although right now it is difficult to stand out in the field of phablets based on technical specifications, since all the ones we have met in recent weeks have characteristics of the highest level (it seems that we will have to wait for the next generation to see a new leap in quality, according to the leaks of the Xperia Togari and the Optimus G2), some have succeeded with other types of peculiarities. A good example of this was the Huawei Ascend Mate, which although it was not at the level of other phablets in terms of technical specifications, until now had no rival for those who were interested in having a smartphone with a screen as large as possible.

Vega No. 6

The situation seems to have changed with the official presentation of the Vega No. 6, the latest phablet of Pantech, how little he has to envy Ascend Mate in a matter of size with their 5.9 inches, but whose characteristics are on a par with those of the latest generation of this type of device. As it had been leaked, it is already confirmed that it will have Full HD display, a Snapdragon S4 Pro processor a 1,5 GHz, 2 GB RAM memory and rear camera 13 MP. Today we have also been able to confirm that it will have a battery of 3140 mAh y 32 GB storage capacity expandable up to, attention, 2 TB via micro-SD cards. It is inevitable to put a but to the device, however: it will be even heavier than the Ascend Mate, with 209 grams.

Weighting aside, the device looks very good, although judging by the advertised price for Korea, it doesn't look like it's going to be particularly cheap (a few U.S. dollar 800, To the change). We also do not have any information on whether we will finally see this device in America and Europe but, of course, if there is news in this regard, we will not take long to inform you.
