Microsoft's big software conference will take place in April. In BUILD many surprises are expected concerning the two lines of operating systems that Redmond handles. It is rumored that they will show us details of the future Windows 9 and Windows Phone 8.1. Although there will also be premieres, something that we are clear since Windows Update 8.1 1 has reached your RTM phase.
The development of the major update for Microsoft OS notebooks and tablets is on the way. We call RTM phase (release to manufacturers) at the end of the development process of a software product and is made available to partner manufacturers.
WZor, the Russian filter that lately surprises us that the firsts about the software of the American company, points out that on February 21 everything was finished. Now manufacturing companies are flirting with the final product in anticipation of equipment upgrades and new models to come.
Changes in Windows 8.1 Update 1
The main changes in this update affect the relationship between traditional desktop environment and Metro-based interface, Modern UI. Now it will be easier to switch between them and open applications will have shortcuts in the application bar of the traditional desktop.
There will also be changes to notifications in the modern part with a low bar for facilities and so on.
Some of these changes could be seen thanks to a leaked video in which an almost final version of this update was shown.
Availability Date
The update might be ahead of the BUILD event itself. Microsoft spoke of a launch in spring at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, thus avoiding giving a definitive date. Own WZor already indicated that this one would arrive on March 11, so we could be watching it next week.
UPDATE: the Internet warns us of a trick to install the update from now on. It may be that the failure of the servers does not last long and its installation requires an advanced user, more because of the possible consequences than because of the installation itself.
