In almost all our Android tablets a weather app that helps us to know the meteorology in the cities that we live in or in some that we indicate it by means of search. For most people they are sufficient, however there are some who may need a more in-depth knowledge of forecasting. Today we want to present you an application that does this overlaying that information on google maps. Called WunderMap and iPad users have already been able to use it for two years.
The application created by Weather WunderGround, allows us to know the weather almost like a meteorologist would. The key is in the overlap of layers of information that provide us with knowledge in real time of the evolution of weather status. These layers are of weather stations, radar, satellites that allow us to see the cloud formationsdetectors Hurricanes and severe weather, active fires, danger of fires and webcams. The latter allows us to access cameras connected to meteorological services that will give us an image of how the sky is in certain regions.
Its interface allows us to control the display of all these layers of information as it suits us. At the same time we can move on the map in the same way that we would do it in Google Maps to see how the weather changes from one region to another. We can also do location searches to be more precise. Of these places selected by the search or by being located in the center of the map, we can learn more by displaying a table that offers us more details about the current state, about the forecast and a evolution graph.
In addition, in advance we can choose types of map that will teach us different types of maps depending on what we want to appreciate: wind, precipitation, temperature, cloudsEtc. ...
The settings allow us to choose between the units of measurement, if we prefer Celsius to Fahrenheit, or kilometers to miles, among other things.
Its interface works well on smartphones, but when dealing with maps we will appreciate it much better on tablets. The best thing is that it is free.
