Yesterday we faced the new Ultra Xperia C5, the new phablet for lovers of selfies de Sony, to one of the most complicated rivals that any new device that lands in the increasingly complicated terrain of the mid-range can have: the Xiaomi Mi Note. However, even Xiaomi has recently found itself in difficulties in the face of Huawei's Honor range, which also has the advantage of selling directly in Europe and making it possible to dispense with import complications. It is time to check, therefore, how the east also comes out Ultra Xperia C5 versus Honor 6 Plus, having a comparative in which their Technical specifications. Here it is.
Integrated
El Ultra Xperia C5, as was the case with the Xperia C4, it is an undoubtedly interesting evolution compared to previous mid-range of Sony, with a more stylized design in which a considerable reduction of the frames stands out. Despite this, and in a similar way to what we found when comparing it with the Xiaomi Mi note, we must recognize Huawei the extra that the use of premium materials such as glass and metal in its Honor 6 Plus, something difficult to find in devices of its price range.
Dimensions
The difference in size is especially marked on this occasion (16,42x7,96 inch against 15,05x7,57 inch), since so is the difference in size between their respective screens and with the "aggravating factor" that the Honor 6 Plus it is quite a compact device. In comparison, however, the difference in thickness (8,2 mm against 7,5 mm) and by weight (187 grams against 165 grams) are relatively small.
Screen
We have already commented that there is an important difference in size between both screens (6 inches against 5.5 inches) and, in technical specifications, this is in fact the only relevant difference, since in both cases we find an AMOLED panel and a Full HD resolution (1920 x 1080), although this translates into different pixel densities, logically (PPI 367 against PPI 401).
Performance
Although each uses a processor from a different manufacturer (a Mediatek in the case of Ultra Xperia C5 or with a Kirin, the own brand of Huawei, in that of Honor 6 Plus, the truth is that their technical specifications are quite similar (eight cores and maximum frequency of 1,7 GHz versus eight cores and maximum frequency of 1,8 GHz). There are other points, however, where we find interesting differences: the phablet of Huawei has an advantage in the RAM section (2 GB against 3 GB), but that of Sony has the extra appeal of arriving with Android Lollipop pre-installed.
Storage capacity
Slight advantage here for the Honor 6 Plus, since the basic model in both cases is 16 GB of internal memory with the option of expanding it externally via card micro-SD. The phablet of Huaweihowever, it has a version with 32 GB hard drive, which can be a plus for those who prefer internal storage.
Cameras
We find two quite special phablets as far as cameras are concerned, although for different reasons: in the case of the Ultra Xperia C5 all the prominence is for its front camera of 13 MP, identical to the rear; in the case of Honor 6 Plus what stands out is its rear camera, which is dual, with two sensors 8 MP, although the front camera of 8 MP.
Autonomy
At the moment we have to settle by comparing the battery capacity data of these two phablets, since we do not have independent tests of autonomy for both, but we must take into account these figures are only half of the equation and that consumption it is also crucial. Limiting ourselves to this data for the moment, in any case, the victory is clear for him. Honor 6 Plus (2930 mAh against 3600 mAh), something curious considering that it is much smaller.
Price
Everything indicates that these two phablets are going to be very even in terms of price, although it must be borne in mind that there is still no official data for Spain for the Ultra Xperia C5. The references we have from Asia, which is where its arrival in stores has been announced before, however, indicate that they would be around the $400, the price for which the Honor 6 Plus in our country.
