Xperia Z2 Tablet vs Galaxy Note Pro 12.2: video comparison

Xperia Z2 Tablet vs Galaxy Note Pro 12

Today we bring you a comparison of two tablets that we have been testing recently: the Galaxy Note 12.2 and X. Both are high-performance devices and represent the top of the range of two giants in the sector, Samsung and Sony, however, in each of them we see very different qualities, which are aimed at capturing a particular signature image.

Actually, the Xperia Z2 and the Galaxy Note Pro embody two very different approaches. Sony has sought to invoice the best possible equipment to consume content comfortably: its bet is focused on a slim, elegant and resistant design with its own display technology and strategically placed speakers to deliver the best possible audio. For its part, the Note 12.2 is a large format tablet, which tries to expand the work area and productivity-oriented apps, something that is especially noticeable in the software modifications that Samsung has implemented on the basis of Android.

Extreme Power Hardware

If there is something to highlight regarding the components of the Z2 and the Note Pro, it is their extreme power. In our tests, the Sony tablet seemed, however, a little more fluid, but it is something that does not stop having some logic: its processor is a Snapdragon 801 (a bit above the Note Pro's 800), it needs to move fewer pixels than its rival, and its operating system is lighter too.

Still, the Samsung tablet also has a great response and is a much more sophisticated device in terms of software, since it offers a good amount of optimized apps for horizontal screen and S-pen use.

The best of each

The best thing about the Xperia Z2 is that it reaches a high level in almost all its devices, although perhaps the resolution of the screen is the most objectionable aspect. The resistance to water and its thickness of 6,4 mm are two absolutely remarkable features.

For its part, the best thing about Note 12.2 is the extraordinary size of its screen that allows you to work up to four applications simultaneously. The downside is that what this implies: a device that is heavier and more difficult to move than other options. However, within Android, it is arguably the best device-oriented professional use.
