Last Monday some captures came to light showing the icons which, presumably, Google will use in its next Android update. These icons were characterized by trying to transfer the language of the web to the desktop of mobile devices. The Hera Project has taken up the concept and translated it into a theme that we can already enjoy on our smartphones and tablets.
With Android 4.4.3 in full (albeit slow) deployment and Android 4.5 as the next major system upgrade, planned in dates close to Google I / O, those who wish can become the vanguard and taste part of the new experience that the search engine company plans for the desktop of its mobile operating system: the style Moonshine has reached the Play Store through a simple app.
Download the Project Hera theme
Many of you will be familiar with some of the most popular launchers that Android offers: Apex, Nova, Aviate, Holo, etc. In order to enjoy the new Android 4.5 icons, we only need to have one of these launchers installed on our terminal, download the app from Project Hera and select it as the default desktop theme.
The download costs 0,72 euros and its repertoire, for the moment, is limited to 60 icons. This means that there are other much more developed topics, but we are sure that some Android fans will be wanting to be among the first to try what Google is up to.
Language unification on all platforms
As we mentioned last Monday, the icons look flatter, in clear line with the current trends of the platform, and their only aesthetic adornment rests on a kind of shading, inspired (hypothetically) by the effects of the moon's brightness. Hence its name, Moonshine.
Google's goal in introducing these changes is to unify concepts and experiences for its services throughout the different platforms where it operates.
What do you think of the New draw? Do you like it more or less than the previous one?
