We already anticipated you last week that, recognizing that especially tablets are becoming one of the favorite "toys" of the children and the headaches that this causes to parents when it comes to controlling the content they access with it, especially with applications such as Youtube, Google has decided to launch its own version designed specifically for them. Today, we can confirm that it is already available you can download, both from the App Store as from Google Play, and we give you some brief keys about its operation.
The new YouTube application that Google has developed for the little ones
The new application will not only allow us to better control that the little ones do not end up seeing any inappropriate video (all the videos shown including the recommendations that are generated from your choices are filtered) of course, but it also features a interface designed to make browsing as easy as possible, with four large icons at the top (series, music, education and navigation) and with the option to organize the videos in channels and playlists.
For those who want to establish stricter control over some other functionality, we still have an extra option, which is access limited by a password to a settings section in which we can establish other types of restrictions: we can, for example, put a time limiter, to avoid spending too much time glued to the screen, or we can completely disable searches so that they only have access to the videos selected by us. It is also interesting to note that the application has background music that may end up being annoying after a while, but that can also be deactivated in this menu,
As we anticipated, the application is now available both for iOS as if to Android.
For when a web version?
