It has not all been bad news, in any case.
An ending that doesn't take us too by surprise
Although it is negative, the truth is that we cannot say that it caught us by surprise, because there had already been information in this regard and because, after all, we are talking about a generation of devices that saw the light a few years ago, in the times of Windows 8. In fact, when it comes to tablets specifically, we are practically talking about the first generation of them.
In any case, a confirmation from Microsoft and finally it has arrived: devices with processors Intel Atom Clover Trail they will not receive the Creators Fall Update nor any of the updates that follow it. They have even explained that the problem is that Intel has stopped supporting them and without the corresponding drivers it is most likely that they would be unable to execute the new versions of Windows 10.
A not so small consolation

What the Fall Creators Update will bring us
Just recently we were just reviewing the news that the Fall Crators Update and it is true that although there is nothing radically innovative (one of the novelties that users had liked the most, Timeline, has finally been postponed until a next update), it is true that it does not stop introducing a few improvements that will be quite appreciated.
This may not in itself be enough to motivate us to renew ours, but taking into account that, as we said at the beginning, they will already be a few years old, perhaps it could be one more reason to encourage us to search a new Windows tablet, thinking above all about the Miix 320 and some other low-cost Chinese that have been launched in recent months, all with seventh generation Intel processors and with quite reasonable prices for how complicated this sector of the market is in this regard.
