A new update for Android could arrive shortly

Nexus 5 vs. Z2

Although we will most likely still have to wait a few months to receive a new version of android, It seems that we can still have some other "small" update ahead and in fact the next one could be quite close, judging by the records that have turned up in Google Code.

As you may already know, especially if you are among the Nexus 5 users affected by this problem, the update to Android 4.4.2 has brought some unexpected (and unintended) consequences for the autonomy of this device (up to 1% battery could be lost every 2 minutes, which obviously meant that it could be consumed in just a few hours). Fortunately, a new update of Google could see the light soon.

The update would solve the battery problem caused by Android 4.4.2

We knew that Google was already working to find a solution, so we are not completely surprised by the news that the update could be ready soon and, as reported on the Internet, through some logs in Google Code It can be seen that an update is in development to resolve this issue (the coding relates it to it) and it seems to be progressing at a good pace.

The next big update, June or October?

Although very important for affected users, this would still be a minor update, in any case, and, for the moment, to see great applicable and general news it seems that we will have to wait for the launch of the next Nexus, as usual, that judging from the news we have to date, it would be the Nexus 8. The latest news, in fact, is even more negative as the latest rumors point to the Mountain View's new tablet I might not finally see the light until after the summer and the truth is that, after all, to Google giving manufacturers a little more time to adopt 4.4 Android KitKat, in view of how slow the process is being.
