In recent times the news has focused on the Galaxy Tab S4, the next star in the catalog of Samsung tablets, but you already know that there have been enough clues that we also have pending the launch of a new mid-range tablet, and now those that could be the first images of this new Galaxy Tab Advanced 2.
Is this Samsung's new mid-range tablet?
Which supposedly would be the first images of this Galaxy Tab Advanced 2 come to us through tabletmonkeys and it seems that they would come from a regulatory body. They are not high quality images, as is often the case with these types of leaks, but enough is seen that the resemblance to the first images of the Galaxy Tab S4 is clear.
Basically we find a tablet with a 10-inch screen with aspect ratio 16:10 y orientation to portrait mode (by the location of the front camera), no physical buttons or fingerprint reader. Although the frames are quite reduced here, it also seems that at the top they would be somewhat wider, so that their dimensions would be slightly larger than that of the Galaxy Tab S4 (25,99 x 16,11 cm vs 24,93 x 16,43 cm).
The doubts regarding the name: will it be called Galaxy Tab Advanced 2 or not?
It must be clarified that we are calling her at the moment Galaxy Tab Advanced 2 because of the different leaks about it that have circulated, the one that seems to bring us closer to the plans of Samsung for its commercialization it should be that of its user manual and there it seems at the moment with this name. The images in the user manual do not fully correspond to what we see in the photographs, however (although they do agree that they do not show physical buttons), so doubts are inevitable.
Also, we must not lose sight of the fact that in some records, this tablet and an older sister that it seems would have, have often been seen with the name of Galaxy Tab A2 and Galaxy Tab A2 XL. And following this same thread, we must remember that the Galaxy Tab A 8.0 (2017) appeared in many records as Galaxy Tab A2 S, so it is possible that, after all, Samsung I ended up calling her Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2018). The model codes are the same in all cases and there is no doubt that they will be the successors, in spirit but in name, of the current Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016).
What we know about this Galaxy Tab Advanced 2
According to the source through which that first image has arrived, the tablet would have a screen of 10.5 inches, as we expect it to be the one of the Galaxy Tab S4, which leaves us a bit with the doubt that we should wait then from the XL model. What does seem clear, because previous leaks have pointed it out and because it is reasonable for a high-end tablet, is that the resolution will be Full HD.
The data that has been speculated so far and that seems most disappointing is probably that of the processor, which could be the same as we have in the current one Galaxy Tab A 10.1. We hope that the leaks are wrong at this point, but at least it will be as up-to-date as it is reasonable to expect in the software section, already arriving with Android Oreo (Android 8.1).
