iOS 9.3: these are the most important news of the update

iOS 9.3 update

With all the hubbub involved in the launch of the new iPhone SE y iPad Pro 9.7, we barely had time to pay attention to another of the news: the imminent update to iOS 9.3. This version, although not entirely groundbreaking, introduces some interesting modifications to the system and will come standard on the models presented yesterday. Below we do a little review of their most notable features.

Night Shift: the star of iOS 9.3

During yesterday's keynote this feature was referenced several times. Currently, it is believed that blue light Radiating screens can cut off the production of melatonin, a hormone that regulates sleep. In Android and in Windows there are applications to avoid their emission at certain hours of the night, however, if we wanted to have something similar in iOS, we had to do the jailbreak to the device and install F.lux.

Night Shift integrates this native option in iOS 9.3. As we say, it is not something groundbreaking either and Apple has gone to the back of other developers, however, it is appreciated.

Apple News adapts to us

Although the portion of Apple News that we receive in Spain is not that it is a reference header yet, this news service has improved to adapt to the particular interests of users and show them personalized information.

We can block access to Notes

If a specific note contains information that we consider sensitive, we can now put a password to limit your access. Also included is a short version preview of date and title.

The Health app gains importance

Much of yesterday's event was focused on projects to achieve advances in different areas of health in which Apple is involved. The apple is taking this aspect very seriously and wants users to use Health, so all third-party apps that work with it will have a specific tag to indicate this.

Any other details for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus users

Even though neither the iPhone 5 SE nor the iPad Pro 9.7 work with Touch 3D, Apple is serious about this technology and continues to improve support for several of its native applications, introducing new gestures and shortcuts.

This is all for now

As we say, these are not great news, we will have to wait for the WWDC 2016 to see something more substantial. Still, something on this list may be practical depending on how we use our tablet or smartphone. It has also not been specified how the tools will get to older iPads and iPhones since most of the elements already incorporated in iOS 9 he had no place in a couple of years old team.

And 7 betas for this? It seems that jailbreak teams are 25 steps ahead in terms of user preferences and they release daily twets that Apple takes months to get out, why? How is it possible that a team of Chinese hackers know what applications we need and offer it to us in record time? I am almost certain that in a few months they will release ios 10 and that the improvements they launch are already available TODAY on the released equipment. It is one thing to be an iPhone fan and another to have a mind as closed as the Cupertino system.
