For some time now we have been hearing about a 8-inch mid-range Huawei tablet that would already be in the oven, but it seems that it is not the only one that is on the way, because they are also beginning to show signs of life two new 10-inch models: future ones MediaPad M5 Lite 10 y MediaPad T5 10: this is what has been discovered about them.
New mid-range Huawei tablets already go through regulatory bodies
We are going to start with the part of the news that leaves us less juicy, but more solid data, which is the appearance of the first registrations in regulatory bodies of a fairly wide collection of new Huawei tablets. From the model numbers, it seems that we would be here before a new MediaPad M5 Lite 10, and another tablet (perhaps more than one) that has not been identified at the moment (the numbering does not seem to coincide with that of the MediaPad T5 10).
As is usual in this type of certificate, the details it gives us about the characteristics of the devices are rather few, indicating only that they arrive with Android Oreo and with resolution 1920 x 1200. This last data serves us at least, yes, to reinforce the theory that we are facing a new MediaPad M5 Lite 10 and to point out that the other model would also be of the upper-middle range.

The second part of the news, which must be taken with more prudence but which is also succulent, is more specific data that could have left leaks in Italian media about the MediaPad M5 Lite and MediaPad T5 10. According to this information, the first would arrive with characteristics quite similar to those of the current one. MediaPad M3 10 Lite, but replacing the Snapdragon 435 with a Kirin 659 and with a price of $300.
The second would be the one that could evolve the most, also arriving with the Kirin 659 and making the leap to resolution Full HD. It seems that doing without the four Harman Kardon stereo speakers, a more modest battery and starting with the most basic model of 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of storage capacity, however, will be what will allow it to be launched from $200, which would be a very attractive price for a tablet of these characteristics.
How long could it take to arrive?
We don't really have any guidance as to when I could present them. Huawei, although the second leak to which we refer seems to come from the material prepared by the company itself for its launch, which undoubtedly seems to indicate that it should be extra next. We have already said, however, that it is convenient to take this information with caution.
Regulatory records should be a much more reliable signal, however, that Huawei is preparing to launch it and although they are not enough to predict that they will debut very soon, it should be noted that it would be normal for them to want to have them in stores before the Christmas season, so it would be strange if their commercialization would be delayed more beyond October, or November at the most. And taking into account that new mid-range tablets from Samsung, they probably don't want to be late.
