Microsoft partners with Sony, LG and 18 other manufacturers to bring Office to more Android tablets

Good news for Microsoft, but also for users who frequently use their tablets for work and who still have Office as a reference office suite, because in addition to having it available for Download already for a wide variety of models Android tablets, it seems they can trust to find it pre-installed in a good part of those that will be launched in the future, thanks to the agreements that the Redmond ones continue to reach with each time more manufacturers.

Microsoft Office continues to gain presence

There was a time when the strategy of Microsoft seemed to be reserving his office suite exclusively for his Windows tablets, in order to give them a competitive advantage, given the high demand for Office. It is clear, however, that in recent times its strategy has radically changed and, after having taken its official application to the App Store and Google Play, does not stop adding companies to the list of those with which it has agreements to leave it pre-installed in its Android tablets.

As you probably already know, the Redmond people already had an agreement to pre-install Office and some other of its most popular applications (OneDrive y Skype or Whatsapp, more specifically) with some of the most popular manufacturers, such as Samsung o Dell, but yesterday made public which has now added a few big names, particularly Sony y LG. It is worth mentioning that among the other 18 less popular manufacturers, there are nonetheless a few low-cost Chinese companies of which many models reach Europe, such as Cube y Teclast.

As a side note, it is also interesting that in the case of Sony y LG  Microsoft has made mention of the specific tablets to which the agreement refers, and although the one of the Japanese is the one already presented X, as far as Koreans are concerned, they speak of an unannounced tablet. He does not leave us any details about this new tablet, of course, but it does not hurt to have a confirmation about the company's plans to launch new models this year. It seems that, after all, the rumored LG GPad X it has a good chance of being real.

We remind you that, precisely yesterday, we presented you with a compilation with the best productivity apps for Android tablets and iPad, in which of course, there is no lack Microsoft Office, but that also includes other options, for those who are looking good alternatives.
