The best tablets for less than 150 euros of 2013

Memo Pad HD 7

Fortunately for users, the competition in the tablet sector is so difficult that a few of the large manufacturers (mainly those that have been arriving later from the PC sector) have had to reorient themselves towards low cost tablets, a market that was already booming. The result is that the 2013 has left us a good harvest of tablets with Technical specifications more than enough to satisfy the everyday use of an average user, and with really low prices. We present a selection with 5 good tablets that we can get for less than 150 euros.

MeMO Pad HD 7 €149

Asus It has a very wide range of tablets and among them are some of the most attractive high-end Android hybrids that we can find, but in recent times it has also presented us with a few low cost tablets, which are certainly worth paying attention to. The second model of the Memo Pad HD 7, more specifically, launched in the middle of the year, it is probably the best tablet that we can find for 150 euros, along with the HP Slate 7 Plus. When it comes to the screen, it has one of 7 inches with resolution Full HD (1280 x 800), and good brightness and angles. In the processor section, we find a chip Mediatek de quad core a 1,2 GHTogether with 1 GB RAM memory. One of its strengths is the storage capacity since, while most of the tablets that are sold for these prices offer us only 8 GB of hard disk, with the Memo Pad HD 7 we get 16 GB, in addition to the possibility of expanding it through cards micro-SD. It even has a rear camera more or less at the same level as those we can find in other compact tablets that double the price, with 5 MP.

HP Slate 7 Plus: 149 euros

We spoke to you precisely about this tablet last week, due to its official presentation for Spain by HP. There are a large number of variations of the HP Slate 7 and all of them offer us a great quality / price ratio, although this is the most interesting in our opinion, tracing the virtues of the Memo Pad HD 7, although with a processor Nvidia instead of Mediatek but less storage capacity. It is a tablet 7 inches with HD resolution (1280 x 800), more than enough to be able to enjoy games and movies with good image quality, and its processor Integra 3 with quad core a 1,3 GHzTogether with 1 GB RAM memory, it also ensures good performance. It has 8 GB of storage capacity, which certainly may run low after a while, but this is not a major problem either, since it has a slot micro-SD to increase memory externally. Nor is missing, of course, the rear camera of 5 MP. It's basically a Nexus 7 from 2012, but with a micro-SD slot and a good rear camera.

Kindle Fire HD 139 euros

If we have a little more budget, it will probably be worth enjoying the new Kindle Fire HDX, but if we have to control what we spend, the Kindle Fire HD It is an option that we cannot stop taking into account. As many of you know, it is actually about the second generation Kindle Fire, and was introduced last year, but instead of withdrawing it with the arrival of the new model, Amazon It has retained it (with some tweaks) as a more affordable variant after a substantial price drop. Its technical specifications, in any case, are on a par with those of the other tablets that we have presented: 7 inches with HD resolution (1280 x 800), processor dual core 1,5 GHz y 1 GB RAM memory. Regarding the rest of the tablets that we present, however, it has a couple of disadvantages: the most important has nothing to do with its price, since the same thing happens with the new models (and with the tablets of Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), y Google, by the way) and it is the absence of a micro-SD card slot, which leaves us exclusively with the 8 GB initial storage capacity; The second is that it does not have a rear camera of sufficient quality to be used as a camera, although its importance, in our opinion, is practically nil, since tablets are not the most appropriate devices for this use either.

Maxwell 2 Quad Core: 139 euros

We could not fail to include in our list some sample of the low-cost manufacturers with whom we always manage to scratch the limit quality / price ratio, but they normally face a certain mistrust on the part of the users. The tablet that we present to you, however, comes from a company that is increasingly well known in Spain and that in all the time that we have known it has given us enough reasons to awaken our confidence: it is the Maxwell 2QC de bq. It is also a tablet 7 inches with HD resolution (1280 x 800), and has a processor quad core a 1,6 GHz y 1 GB RAM memory. It is true that the rear camera is not one of the best that we can find in this price range but, as we have said regarding the Kindle Fire HD, it does not seem to us a very important feature in a tablet and, compared to the tablet of Amazon, at least he has it. On the other hand, and as with the Memo Pad HD 7, has in its favor offering us twice what is usual in terms of storage capacity (16 GB), in addition to giving us the option to expand by cards micro-SD.

Iconia B1: 119 euros

Acer was one of the first to redirect much of his production towards low-cost tablets and one of the ones that has gotten the most out of it, in fact. Although it has subsequently been expanding this offer with 8 and 10-inch tablets and others with Windows 8, it is probably this Iconia B1 the one that has been the most successful, as well as being the most affordable (or precisely because of that). It is also the cheapest of our selection, without implying a great resignation at the level of technical specifications, as you will see. A first model was released at the beginning of the year and shortly afterwards another came with some interesting improvement in the performance section (processor of dual core a 1,2 GHz y 1 GB RAM memory). Its weakest point would perhaps be the screen, whose resolution is 1024 x 600, although for those who are discouraged by this data, it is worth remembering that it is the same resolution of the best seller iPad mini. Its storage capacity is also 8 GB, but has a card slot micro-SD, which guarantees that if space problems arise we can solve them. The price of the model with 16 GB of storage capacity, however, it would also allow it to be included in this selection, since it is $149.
